Brynn Hughbanks, Keira Demirjian Win Gold at p1440 Futures Tour: Washington

On May 25th, the P1440 Futures Tour held a tournament in Spokane Valley, WA at Browns Park with notable college commits/signees finishing in the top three in the class of 2025-2026 division. These players are committed/signed to schools that include Florida State (FSU), Arizona State (ASU), Louisiana State (LSU), Hawaii, Santa Clara (SCU), Boise State (BSU) and South Florida (USF).

BSU commit Keira Demirjian and FSU commit Brynn Hughbanks beat ASU commit Ava Kretschman and LSU commit Kenzie McGatlin in the gold medal match in straight sets with set scores of 21-17 and 21-13. In the semifinal round, top seed Demirjian and Hughbanks beat two USF commits in Aracelys Sanchez and Arianna Medchill in two sets with both sets ending 21-14. On the other side of the bracket, Kretschman and McGatlin beat Hawaii commit Addison Williams and SCU Avery Cukjati in the semifinals with set scores of 21-10 and 21-17.

The P1440 Futures Tour is coming to an end with the P1440 Juniors National Championship Festival taking place in Virginia Beach starting June 18th and ending June 24th. The Girls 18U, 16U and 12U divisions will take start on the 22nd and end on the 24th.
